Nice renders! Is this made in blender?
Nice renders! Is this made in blender?
Thanks.
Yep, Blender 3.3.1 [ Cycles ]
Yoo I love the artstyle! The harsh shadows really give the trailer some personality. It reminds me of Mob Psycho 100 in a way. Hope to see what the final short would be about!
Thank you. I've been after this style for a long time, but I couldn't translate what I had in my head onto what I was drawing. You can kind of see it taking shape in my last project, the Iyes Keen music video, but it has really come together with Grapeful Balloons being that I have been working on it consistently for almost a full year.
You should probably play with your animation's composition. Too much still shots of your characters. Love the fact that you are making a series with this. My opinion might change if a full story will be incorporated with your animation.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I'm working on improving the animation. I created a "pilot" and tried to up load it here but had problems (I think it was too large, not sure what happened). I might try again to re-upload it, but the animation and art is of lower quality. Here's the youtube link.

I like how you incorporate a 3d environment for your 2d characters. Really unique! It's a shame this was cancelled, though.
thank you very much, I canceled it due to time complications although I am currently working on another animated project, also mixing 3d with 2d
The animation looked nice, but the lines of some objects/characters looked ugly and jagged. Next time, you should try drawing frames with a 1280 x 720 ratio at least and use bigger brush sizes.
Thanks for the response! :D I actually experimented with a style on the Line Tool, and used the Meter Join, and the Square Cap.
Not bad for a first time! However, since i am judging this as a comedy, I would say that it isn't really that funny in my opinion. It is a nice test run on what you can do with adobe animate, but the movies that gave me a lasting impression are the ones that offer more than just good visuals, like quirky jokes or excellent storytelling. Other than that, the animation was spot on and not "floaty" while the characters/objects are simple yet appealing, unlike the other movies in the portal. Good job!
Yeah, this was definitely more of a test run than anything. I agree that the humor is definitely the weakest part of this. To be honest, I wasn't sure what kind of genre it fit in, so I just went with comedy.
I really appreciate the feedback, thanks!
It is a very good video, although it might grab more attention if you change the aspect ratio.
Thanks dude, I know it's kind of a mess, It's a college film from two years ago and I didn't even consider aspect ratios at the time, I'm currently remaking this and my other projects into a much cleaner project, I hope you stick around to see it!
I like this comic-book art style that you're going with this, and the comedy that accompanies the story. Overall, a nice first episode!
Thanks! Stay tuned!
I think it looks good as a first animated short.
Thanks,
But I'm that guy who always thinks what I do is crap. If you watch the full film I think my own criticisms are valid. And I think I SHOULD criticize myself. Because I want to get better.
I've written and directed other stuff. And while I like some of it I'll always punch myself a little.
Here's my first student film if you are interested:
This was funny. Even if the animation isn't perfect, I think the low-budget style works on this video.
the thing I screwed up the most was the voice acting, that is main flaw
Hi! My name is Morgan. I make 3d art and animation in a specific toon shader style via Blender. Hope that you like it!
