Hi, guys! I noticed that aside from animations, I have not been posting any others works I've done in the past like 3D renders and music. So I took time this morning to upload all the stuff I made in 2024 so far. Sadly, I cannot upload GIFs of my 3D art because for some reason, I am always stuck with an uploading screen that takes forever. So I will instead be posting stills of it here.

As for future projects, I already have two scripts ready for some animations I will do in the future. The first one I'll be making is a funny wrestling animation (concept art of one of the characters is shown below), while another is a dramatic fantasy starring a fairy I made a few weeks back. I want to try and make more 2D animations going forward, similar to the style shown in my short film Candlewick but with added colors. I also want to experiment with other genres of script writing other than comedy because I feel like my funny bone is completely squeezed, and I have a ton of short stories I've written before that were more serious.

I do not usually post on my Newgrounds page, but I have something that may interest the animation community here on this website. In the coming weeks, I will be releasing a short horror film titled "Candlewick." It is a 2.5D Horror film made in Blender inspired by an old Filipino Tale. I've already created a 3-page script, finished all of the 3D sets, and am now halfway done with the animation of this film. All I have to do is finish the rest of the scenes, create the soundtrack for this film via a DAW software, and compile of the scenes and audio into a video editor. I will be streaming the behind-the scenes on my Youtube Channel, so if you want to check me out, look for me @TheVanillaLog on YT!

This is probably my most ambitious project, and after planning the script during late 2022, delaying production for most of 2023, and picking the project back up in 2024 after learning a few more skills in music and animation, I can finally say that I am at a point in my life wherein I can tell a story that I always wanted to tell since deciding to learn animation in 2016.

Hi, guys! I just want to say thank you for the support for the newest animation I made. It takes a while to get these out, but I'm glad you guys stick around! I'll try to post more update logs every now and then (especially on a future 2D animation I'm making), but I am usually doing some content on my YT channel. Aside from the high-quality music, art, and animations I post on newgrounds, I also upload video essays, livestreams, and behind the scenes stuff on youtube that does not necessarily fit the community of Newgrounds. To give you guys an idea of what awaits there, here is a video about making 3D Vtuber models (for dummies).

I got an influx of new fans from the last animated short I did, and it made me think of what people expect from me in the near future. Will there be more new movies like this one? Sadly, the truth is much less exciting. For the next few months, I plan on sorting out my college requirements while still doing some small blender projects for the art portal. I am not really a full time animator nor an art student like most people in this site; I am actually just a medical student who happened to have a hobby for making bit-sized cartoons and animations. While I am eager to make more animated shorts, I do not plan to work on one as of the moment. However, I will be streaming and making videos on my YT channel wherein you see me make some cool toon-shaded 3d models like the ones on my short. I don't have a consistent upload schedule, so please be patient!

I'm glad people liked my short. It made the three months I've worked on it quite worthwhile. Thanks for the confidence boost, everyone!

Woah. The Second Trimester of my college term already ended. Where do I even begin?

Well, first off, guys. I will be posting a new video in probably a month or so. Remember when I said that I will be making a review on Good Omens? I finished the script, and I am already 1/3 of the way finished with the drawing process. Just you wait, guys! As of now, I just have a drawing below to give you a taste of what's to come.

In other news, I am currently writing stuff on wattpad. I may be posting a new poetry collection there pretty soon, and I am already making chapter 7 of my new novella/novel, "Ms. Amser and the Clock that Moves Forward." Feel free to visit wattpad once I get those stuff published.

Hey, guys. So it has been like a few months since my last post, so let me just tell you guys what has happened.

First off, I am doing well in college so far. I've been studying the human body, doing narrative reviews, and shit like that for the past weeks I've been gone. To be honest, I haven't been able to find time to do some video/writing stuff, and it is only now that I was able to make a post about the things I'm planning to make.

Secondly, I am making a short story for Fro's latest (and possibly last) writing contest on Newgrounds. I think I am almost done with the first draft. After which, I would have to go through a long tedious editing process that won't be fun. Hooray for me.

Another thing I did was submit an old story I made a few months back to a publisher named "Firewords." There is nothing left to say here except that I wish that the story makes it through. I have been having trouble finding publishers/contests for my short stories lately, and I hope this goes well. I'll be sure to update you guys on that in two months.

Lastly, on the video side of things, I am currently making a script on a book you've probably heard of recently. It's called "Good Omens," the story behind the ineffable husbands tag on Tumblr. The video might not be as long as my recent ones due to the fact that college is now my mortal enemy, but I really want to talk about this story so badly. I might just be fanboy-ing about this story for 5 minutes straight, but only time will tell.

The new video that I've been working on is out now in Newgrounds, and it is the 8th place Runner Up for June 17! It will shortly be uploaded on Youtube with a full edited list of interviews, articles, short stories, and books that I've read in order to make the script for the movie. I've really pushed myself to the limit when it comes to the researching side, which seems unnecessary when you notice that in the end, I was just stating my opinion.

In other news, I'm not planning to make a video for a LONG while. I would be going to college by next week, and I want to concentrate in my studies from now on. Is this my final video? Probably....yes? Only the future self would tell. I would still be writing stuff for Fro's writing contests in the forums (because you can't criticize books without experiencing what it's like to write), so you will most likely see me there. Again, thanks for supporting me for this one final time, and lets consider this a farewell. (I mean, I'm still posting news and forum stuff, but I somehow need to end this post in an emotional mood).
